Faculty Forum: Science Park Developments
Come along to next week's Faculty Forum to hear the Director of Business Partnerships and Enterprise discussing developments concerning the Science Park. In addition, there will be the opportunity to hear about plans for a new Centre for Extreme Events, together with current links and future opportunities with the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Energy from Fuels and Waste Training for West Africa
The Energy and Fuels from Waste course is a 3 module training programme developed in 2010 in partnership with 25 leading companies in the sector, LEC resident company Stopford Projects Ltd and Lancaster University. This year, in collaboration with Envirofly Ltd, an environmental consultancy specialising in the West African market, the course is being condensed to a 3 day course and delivered internationally to West Africa, UAE and China.
Head of Enterprise and Business Partnerships, Dr Ruth Alcock explains, "Our aim is to work collaboratively to address some of the unique waste management challenges faced in those countries where perhaps waste management practices are less well developed than they are in the UK."
Science and Technology Business Partnerships and Enterprise imagine library available online
As part of the new suite of marketing materials to promote Science and Technology business partnerships and enterprise, a new high quality image library has been created and is now available online in the information for staff section. Images focus on business partnerships and are tagged by theme, department, and the five ways of working with businesses. The images can be downloaded in four formats: presentation, web, thumbnail, and original and are free for staff members to use for university work.
