Lancaster University'S Ideas Festival 08 will takes place today from 10.00am to 3.45pm in Lecture Theatre 1, Lancaster Leadership Centre.
Lancaster University's Ideas Festival showcases the latest ideas and research from the University.
The event features a series of short presentations by recently appointed professors, making accessible to all the vision and expertise that exists across the university's disciplines.
Talks from members of The Faculty of Science and Technology will include:

- Jon Whittle, Computing (2.45pm)
- Quality of Service and Quality of Life - How Wireless Broadband Can Help
- Garik Markarian, Communication Systems (3.15pm)
All members of the University are welcome to attend, dipping in and out of the presentations as they please.
The presentations will be available to people on campus via the Ideas Festival website.
