Award Winning Co-location Buildings
Our award winning buildings enable global high-tech, knowledge intensive business to co-location onto the Lancaster University campus to work alongside our cutting-edge researchers in a unique collaborative environment. Businesses can also join and network with our established local, regional, national and international business communities and tap into a broad range of expertise, support, training and resources on site.
Commercialisation of Intellectual Property (IP)
We actively pursue collaborative partnerships to develop novel products and processes for the global marketplace. Our view is that the early development of outcomes from research is best achieved by universities who pursue the commercialisation of the IP they create for the ‘public good’, and then transfer it as soon as appropriate to the commercial sector. We understand the importance of having clear policies and guidance on the identification, protection and early exploitation of our IP by business partners.
Professional Training to Business and Industry
Drawing from expertise from across Science and Technology, we provide a portfolio of courses for industry and individual professionals, both in the UK and abroad, offering great flexibility and choice. From short courses, workshops and topic specific seminars, to part-time and full-time courses as well as online courses, we provide tailored interdisciplinary training programmes and on-going continuing professional development provision. We share expertise and increase competitiveness and productivity of individuals and organisations through better use of knowledge, technology and skills.
