DESCRIPTION:At this meeting we will demonstrate Second Life and lead a discussion about its potential for educators. This is intended as an introductory meeting for those relatively new to the Second Life, or 3D virtual worlds in general.\n\nThe meeting will be presented in three parts:\n\n\nGetting Started in Second Life - a demonstration of the basics. (12.00-12.30)\nSome places of interest to educators (12.30 - 12.50pm)\nDifferent ways to teach and learn in Second Life (12.50-1.30)\n\n\nThe meeting will be led by Julia Gillen (Literacy Research Centre) and Michele Ryan (Management, Learning & Leadership).
