DESCRIPTION:Northwest Vision and Media in partnership with E-Skills, the Sector Skills Council for Business and Information Technology in the UK, is to highlight the benefit of IT apprenticeships at an event in Salford.\n\nHeadlining the event is 2006 The Apprentice finalist, Ruth Badger, who will be speaking on the benefits of developing an apprentice scheme within your company.\n\nDesigned to raise awareness of IT apprenticeships amongst employers in the Northwest, the event has attracted big named companies such as BT and Microsoft, as well as support from Strategic Systems Solutions and Zenos.\n\nRepresentatives from these and many more companies will be on hand to give advice on how to create an apprenticeship scheme, and how hands-on training can help to develop your business.\n\nGraduate and current apprentices from this sector will also be speaking about how an apprenticeship has helped them.\n\nApprenticeships provide a valuable alternative route into a professional role in IT or Telecoms.\n\nE-skills UK, the Sector Skills Council for Business and Information Technology, works closely with employers to design and implement flexible apprenticeship programmes that meet the current and future needs of both employers and individuals.\n\nThe IT & Telecoms Apprenticeship includes occupations like Web Development, Systems Maintenance, IT Support, and Telecoms Engineering.
