Triple Science Rocket Challenge
Wednesday 09 February 2011
Lancaster University
As part of an ongoing project to support the teaching of triple science within local schools we will be holding a Rocket Challenge Day on the afternoon of Wednesday 9 February.
The event follows on from a teacher training day help on campus in November where fifteen teachers from schools around the North West attended fun and engaging sessions on Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
Up to ten schools will compete to design and fire a paper rocket the furthest distance. Each team will be made up of one teacher and four year nine pupils. Prizes will be given for best design and distance.
For further details and to book please contact Dr Alan Darragh, tel. 01524 594208.
