New Brunch Bytes Briefings For 2012
Early birds can now secure their place on four more Brunch Bytes briefings planned for 2012.
They are "The Mobile Wallet: Secure mobile payments", "Hidden Gems of Social Media Analysis", "Tablet Technology" and "Opportunities of the Third Dimension".
Speakers are yet to be confirmed but the events are now open for registration. As for the rest of the Brunch Bytes series, all events will be held in Lancaster and in Darebury.

How do we find out about cyber criminals?
Security Lancaster and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics held a workshop to form a new collaborative group who will widen the knowledge of cybercrime and start developing innovative approaches to obtaining information on cyber criminals. The workshop included security researchers and statisticians, solicitors specialising in cybercrime, and experts from government agencies.

Scientists at Lancaster, Virginia and Oxford universities have produced a web-based tool that allows anyone living in the UK to see their own 'nitrogen footprint'.
