We are seeking to appoint a research associate to work on the Sustainable Added Value e-chain (Sav-e) project, funded by the Technology Strategy Board. Within this project, the research at Lancaster University aims to address the challenges for the adoption of e-procurement technologies. This will focus on requirements gathering, development of conceptual designs and evaluation of the proposed solutions.

This is an exciting position for an experienced HCI researcher with expertise in ethnographic studies, co-design workshops, development of conceptual design and low fidelity prototyping, as well as evaluation in the wild. You will be passionate about applying HCI principles to provide solutions to real problems in the eprocurement sector, and to communicate with both people working in this sector and its end users.

We invite applications from enthusiastic individuals who have an MSc or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Psychology or HCI, or related field of relevance to the research. You must have knowledge and initial experience in recruiting participants, planning and running field studies, analysing qualitative data and disseminating your findings to both academia and private sector. You will identify requirements and develop conceptual designs to be evaluated and refined in design workshops.
