Cyber Security: Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship Challenge 2012 - #CyberBiz2012
There is a skills shortage in the UK in cyber security, but there is a greater shortage of entrepreneurial people who can help grow the industry and the UK economy. In response Security Lancaster have collaborated with parental control software company Cyber Sentinel to deliver the Cyber Security: Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship Challenge which is being launched in How To week.
This challenge will provide students on the MSc in Cyber Security and other Masters programmes at Lancaster University with the opportunity to develop commercial ideas from their studies with support from Lancaster University and business mentoring from Phillip Speed, Director of Cyber Sentinel.
Faculty of Science and Technology's Student Employability Manager Pam Pickles and Lancaster University's Enterprise Champion Jon Powell who is responsible for coordinating enterprise skill development and entrepreneurship support across Lancaster University, are also supporting the challenge.
