£20,000 For BT Essence of the Entrepreneur
Business tycoon Peter Jones is on the panel
The BT Business Essence of the Entrepreneur competition celebrates the achievements that entrepreneurs are making through the application of technology.
"Technology is having an increasing impact on the success of business from allowing small companies to have a bigger presence through an amazing website, to equipping staff with the technology to allow them to work more flexibly." BT.
The contest is open to privately owned businesses that employ fewer than 75 staff. Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate how their business is harnessing the power of technology to make a key difference to their company.
A panel of judges, headed up by successful business tycoon Peter Jones, will select the UK's 20 most impressive entrepreneurs. From the 20 winners, the judges will also be looking for the best female entrepreneur, best male entrepreneur, the young entrepreneur of the year and the most original business concept.
The closing date for entries is Sunday 31st August 2008

First Science and Technology Business Partnerships and Enterprise Annual Report 2011-2012 available to download now
2011-2012 saw the development of a new theme-based strategy for Business Partnerships and Enterprise in Science and Technology. The seven interdisciplinary themes are: Advanced Manufacturing, Energy, Environment, Health and Human Development, Information and Communication Technologies, Quantum Technology and Security. Each theme has dedicated professional staff to work with businesses and source the expertise they need.
