Own-it North: Intellectual Property Seminars
Over the next two months Own-it North will run a series of free evening seminars and masterclasses across the North West - aimed at helping businesses in the sector make the most of their Intellectual Property (IP).
Intellectual Property is the life-blood of creative and digital businesses, yet all too often, business-owners operating in the sector don't fully understand IP or know how to best exploit it.
On-hand to share their IP experiences will be a host of top-notch experts from the creative & digital sector, including John Dyer (Company Director at one of the UK's leading independent labels, Domino Records), Trevor Johnson (Creative Lynx), Nick Jaspan (How-do.co.uk) and Richard Stephenson (yudu.com).
They will be supported by solicitors from some of the North West's leading law firms. The events are free and will cover a plethora of topics including "Changing Channels: IP and Digital Media", "Creative Collaborations and the Law", and "Protecting and Licensing your Music in the 21st Century".
The programme starts at the end of February, with events happening at venues in Liverpool, Lancashire, Warrington and Manchester.
For full details and to register for events, go to the weblink below.
Own-it North is a free service for creative and digital businesses looking to get help in protecting and find new ways of making money from their IP - through events, one-to-one advice surgeries and through the website.
