NorthernNet Creative Commissions
Upcoming deadline: 2nd July 2010
Cornerhouse in Manchester and 16 other arts, creative, business and educational organisations across the North of England are now host to NorthernNet's Media Access Bureaux, which provide pay-as-you-go access to a high-speed symmetric digital network, connecting the North to the rest of the World.
The collective talent of the North's Digital and Creative Industry (DCI) forms the perfect mix required to design and develop new and innovative ways to use this technology.
Cornerhouse, Arts Council England and NorthernNet are awarding between £1,000 and £5,000 for R&D projects to encourage this exploration. Projects can use high speed connectivity either in the production or the delivery of their project or product.
Proposals must involve at least one arts and one DCI partner, both based in the North of England and should be no longer than two sides of A4.
