Florence Nightingale Day successfully raises profile of women in mathematics and statistics
Pupils from years 11 to 13 from seven regional schools were represented at the recent event organised by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The day combined talks from prominent female mathematicians, hands-on activities, a quiz, group work, discussions and displays.
