New Investigator Research Grant for IBD
Dr Rachael Rigby, Lecturer in Biomedicine in Lancaster University's Faculty of Health and Medicine, has been awarded a New Investigator Research Grant worth £460,000 by the Medical Research Council, to investigate mechanisms of intestinal epithelial homeostasis.

A grant of £35k from Alzheimer's Research UK has been awarded to fund the purchase of research equipment
Prof. David Allsop and his team, in collaboration with researchers at University of Manchester, have been awarded a grant of £35k from Alzheimer's Research UK for the purchase of important equipment required to continue their studies on the development of diagnostic markers for age-related brain diseases.
