Dr Alison Collins

Research Interests

Alison is a Lecturer within the Centre for Organisational Health and Well Being at Lancaster University School of Health and Medicine. Alison completed her PhD in 2007 and explored the employment relationship of full-time clerical teleworkers' using the psychological contract. She is currently working on a two year study with Professor Sue Cartwright exploring presenteeism in the workplace and its consequences on workers' health and well being.

Previously she has carried out research in the field of human and organisational factors across a wide range of industries including the UK offshore oil industry where she examined the issues surrounding fatigue, health and injury amongst seafarers' and explored issues of safety, including risk leadership surrounding new and established organizations.
