Dr Ben Harper

Clinical Tutor

Personal Introduction

Dr. Ben Harper is a clinical tutor on the Lancaster DClinPsy course and also works part time as a senior clinical psychologist within the Local Authority and the National Health Service (NHS). Ben has a particular interest in working with children and young adults with complex needs within criminal justice services. His primary focus in practice is trauma informed therapy, systemic consultation and therapeutic work with children who display harmful sexual behaviour. In his role as a clinical tutor he is interested in supervising research completed with adolescents with complex needs.

Ben has completed research in the areas of adolescent development, trauma, substance misuse and published these findings in peer reviewed journals.
