Career details

I am an NHS staff member based permanently at the university as a Senior Clinical Tutor for the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme. I have specific responsibilities for co-ordinating teaching and placements for second year trainees who spend 6 months on an older adult, physical health or neuropsychology work placements. I coordinate the, approximately 18 days, teaching which parallels the work placement. I am a member of the Old Age Faculty of the British Psychological Society (PSIGE) and take an active role in the NW branch programme of CPD activities and meetings. I also belong to the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapists (ACAT) as I am a qualified practitioner of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). I have an interest qualitative research methods and I also work as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist where one of my main interests is in selection methods
