Dr Ivonne Solis-Trapala is interested in developing likelihood-based inference for graphical models with latent Gaussian variables. Her research activities include collaborative work with colleagues from Lancaster University's Department of Psychology investigating causal models of cognitive behaviour in young children and in patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease; and with colleagues from the Spectrum Centre for Mental Health studying the nature of bipolar disorder. Also, in collaboration with colleagues from the University of Nottingham, she investigates the neural mechanisms of resistance to peer influence during adolescence.
