Dr Rachael Rigby

Personal Introduction

Dr. Rigby gained her PhD, researching the role of dendritic cells in initiation and perpetuation of IBD, from Imperial College in 2004.
She then completed a Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA)-funded post-doctoral fellowship, in the laboratory of Prof. Kay Lund, at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Rachael joined the School of Health and Medicine in 2008, and was awarded an MRC-funded New Investigator Research Grant to continue her research into factors involved in intestinal epithelium replenishment and repair.
