In the Faculty of Health and Medicine we’re very proud of the quality of our teaching, as well as the range and prominence of our research. Lancaster University is rated amongst the top research-led Universities in the UK in both teaching and research.

Lancaster ranked top ten in the UK

Lancaster University is ranked 7th out of 120 institutions in the UK in The Guardian University Guide 2012, based on teaching excellence and the National Student Survey. 88% of students were satisfied with teaching at Lancaster while 87% were satisfied overall.
The University is also ranked 9th in the UK and top in the North West by The Complete University Guide 2012, 12th in The Times league tables and 124th worldwide in the 2010 THE Education world university rankings .

Visit us

The Faculty holds Open Days for prospective applicants and applicants throughout the year. The Open Days are held during our term time and offer a great opportunity to find out more about our degree schemes and living and studying at the University. We strongly recommend that you make the effort to attend one of these Open Days if at all possible. The Faculty also takes part in the Annual Visit Days and the University runs regular campus tours throughout the year. So come and visit Lancaster to see what we have to offer!
