Applications to study for a PhD/MPhil and MD are made directly to Lancaster University. The online application system allows you to track progress of your application after submission and receive updates via email.
You should also normally provide an outline of your proposed research topic to support your application. Applicants for allocated studentships from Research Councils in the UK should give the title of the project and should indicate any previous experience which is relevant.
If you are an Overseas Applicant, the deadline for submitting your application to study on our postgraduate programmes commencing in October 2013 in the Faculty of Health and Medicine, is Friday 16th August 2013, as from this date there will be insufficient time remaining before the start of the programme for us to be able to make a decision in time for you to apply for and obtain a Visa.
Applications from overseas candidates for study on postgraduate programmes with later or flexible start dates will continue to be accepted.
Before submitting an application, it is important that you contact the relevant Divisional staff to discuss your application. Postgraduate Research Directors can provide advice on matching your research interests to those of academics in the Faculty.
