Life in CF is not restricted to our weekly meetings on Tuesday & Thursday nights! Previously, CF has hosted inter-faith socials, a great opportunity to get to know our fellow faith groups and a tradition this exec aims to continue. In past years members of CF have run a children's holiday club in Canning Town (that's in London for anyone who didn't know) and a kid's club in Goosnargh, about half an hours drive away from Lancaster. More recently we have been involved in Help the Homeless, collecting money and unwanted food for the Night Shelter in Lancaster. Each year we raise money during Christian Aid week along with other Christian groups on campus. This year we hosted an inter-faith bbq and a pub quiz. We also have an annual walk up one of the nearby hills, in conjunction with the Chaplaincy centre’s Week of Accompanied Prayer. Socials! Every good society should have them and CF is no exception! Every term will include a social which in the past have included walks, bowling, Quasar/Laserquest, games evenings and meals. And not to forget the ever popular Christmas dinner! Home
