Are you a complete adrenaline junkie looking for new thrills and challenges?
Then why not add skydiving as something impressive to include in your CV, or do something spectacular for your graduation? Or do you
just want to prove to yourself and your mates that you have what it takes to throw yourself out of a plane?

We are the extreme sports society to join! Regular meetings and socials, plenty of skydiving and a great sense of community both within the club and at the local drop zone, will guarantee a warm welcome and lots and lots of fun...

Our local drop zone is Black Knights Parachute Centre, which is not only a mere 15 minutes drive from the uni, but, from the plane, also boasts beautiful views over Lancaster and Morecambe Bay.

This academic year (2011/2012) we are pleased to have more than 27 members, some of which are fully qualified solo skydivers; training in formation skydiving as well as other skydive disciplines.

Charity Parachute Jumps in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire
Many people choose to make their first tandem charity parachute jumps by raising money for charity. It's pretty easy, all you have to do is select a charity which matters to you and then raise double the value of the skydive and it is then paid for. You can choose to jump at a parachute centre near to Leeds and Sheffield.

Taking the course is also very simple - 20 minutes instruction and you are ready to leap from an aircraft securely harnessed to your instructor. Once you jump, you will reach speeds of 120mph for nearly a minute before the parachute is opened. The parachute is designed for 2 people and will gently return back to the dropzone in around 5 minutes. You can even get your skydive videoed and photographed as proof you did it!
