KUGB Grading Syllabus

4th Dan - Black belt 4th degree

If you are unsure about any aspect of the syllabus for your grading, please dont hesitate to ask a senior member of the club and they will be more than happy to assist you.

Kihon


From freestyle kamae any 1st or 2nd Dan combinations plus:

1. Kizami tsuki, oi tsuki, gyaku tsuki, ren tsuki, step back age uke, soto uke, gedan barai and uchi uke with same arm, kizami tsuki, gyaku tsuki, four turning gyaku tsuki attacks, turn behind with haito uchi, mawashi geri, uraken, gyaku tsuki, rear leg mae geri and step back, yoko geri keage to side and return to stance, and finally step forward with mawashi geri, ushiro geri, uraken and gyaku tsuki.
Kata 


1. Candidates choice from Meikyo, Ji'in, Wankan, Tekki Sandan, Gojushiho dai with a practical demonstration of requested applications.

2. Examiners choice from Sochin, Unsu, Gankaku, Chinte and Gojushiho Sho
Kumite 


1. Kaishi Ippon Kumite - any 5 attacks, not pre-arranged or stated.

2. Candidate must demonstrate between 3 and 5 of their favourite kumite combinations.

3. Jiyu Kumite.
