KUGB Grading Syllabus

5th Kyu - Purple belt

If you are unsure about any aspect of the syllabus for your grading, please dont hesitate to ask a senior member of the club and they will be more than happy to assist you.

Kihon Kumite Kata

1. Soto uke, empi uchi, uraken
Middle outside block, elbow strike, back fist strike

2. Uchi uke, kizame tsuki, gyaku tsuki
Middle inside block, front hand jodan punch, reverse punch

3. Shoto uke, front leg mae geri, nukite

4. Mawashi geri
Roundhouse kick

Ippon Kumite

One step kumite

Individual jodan oi tsuki, chudan oi tsuki, mae geri & yoko geri attacks from left & right followed by opponent countering with choice technique. 

 Heian Yondan
