The Exec
The Exec are the poor muppets who volunteered to run the society on your behalf. If you have suggestions for the society, or if you don't like how we're doing things, tell us. Or if you have requests or questions, ask us.
Remember, it's your society, not ours.
The Exec is elected at our Annual General Meeting, which is held towards the end of Spring Term. Any student member of the society can go for the three main positions (president, treasurer and secretary), and any member, student or non-student, can stand for election as either the tabletop rep or the live rep. Full descriptions of the roles and responsibilities of Exec members can be found in our Constitution.
But anyway, the Exec. First of all, the “big three” exec, the exec members who exist in one form or another in every Lancaster society, and then those who make up our other three LURPS-specific positions.
Josh - President

Josh is a third year undergraduate in philosophy.
The president handles most of the day-to-day, behind the scenes, running of the society. It's also the president's job to keep the rest of the Exec in line, ensuring they do their jobs.
Rachael- Treasurer

Rachael is a third year undergraduate in philosophy.
The treasurer's role is to look after, surprise surprise, the financial side of things.
Matt - Secretary

Matt is a third year undergraduate in English literature.
As LURPS secretary it is Matt’s job to take notes at the meetings, make sure the society elections are run fair and square, and to generally be the odd-job person.
Jon- Tabletop Rep

Jon is a third year undergraduate in history.
The tabletop rep's main job is to organise and distribute rooms for the society's tabletop games (and cardgames, wargames, etc). It also involves organising and promoting other tabletop and related events throughout the year.
Kirsty- Live Rep

Kirsty is a Lancaster graduate in theatre studies.
The live rep is responsible for the organisation and safety of all LARP games run by the society, as well as safety at these events. It also is the live rep’s responsibility to liaise with system refs. See the LARP page for more details.
Mew and Adam - Social
Secretaries

LURPS currently has two social secretaries: Adam, a second year psychology undergraduate, and Mew, on the left in her 2011 LURPS Hallowe’en barcrawl costume.
The responsibility of the social secretaries is to organise social events such as bar crawls and other social things.
