Getting Involved As A Player

   Fancy having a go? Well, it's quite simple.

   During Week 1, our Tuesday and Thursday meetings are when members decide which of the tabletop games being played that term they wish to be involved in. Different games run on Tuesday and Thursday, so if you're after a full fix of roleplaying addiction goodness, turn up both nights. From the meeting, groups head off to different rooms for their games. Traditionally, there is a gathering in one bar or another after games finish (at 10pm).

   You can normally join games in later weeks, but you might be a bit short of choices if some of the games managed to gather their full complement of players.

   If you don't think you can commit to a full ten-week adventure, we do run occasional standalone one-shot sessions. We aim to have at least one of these per term.

   If your thing's more the Saturday LARP games, simply turn up on time and get started. Chat with the live reps for more about that.

 

Getting Involved As A GM

   Feeling that creative need to run a game?

   Stand up at a Tuesday or Thursday meeting in Week 1 of any term, say a few brief words about your game, your intended plot, and let us know how many players you're after.

   If you don't fancy running a full ten-week adventure, the one-shot sessions might be more like what you're looking for.

   Most games tend to take between four and six players, but larger games have been known, occasionally reaching double figures at the extreme.

   Typically, the GM provides character sheets, and if your game uses a lot of dice, or unusual types, it's a good idea to have a few of those handy as well, just until your players get hold of them. Oh, and don't forget the rulebook for the game - you might know the system by heart, but chances are that your players don't.
