Interstellar Master Traders - Lancaster's foremost store dealing in all things roleplay.

Useful Resources For GMs and Players

Abandoned Places - Photographs (with commentary) of some abandoned and decaying locations that ooze atmosphere.

BabyNames.com - 6500 first names, with their meanings. Great for designing characters.

BehindTheName.com - 13400+ names, with their meanings. Since it's also categorised by culture (Spanish, Arabic, African etc.) as well as having categories for various groups of ancient, literary and myth names, it's perfect for GMs and PCs trying to get that authentic feel to a game.

Dictionary.com - Searchable (American) English dictionary, with a sister thesaurus site included. Handy for character names and just in general.

Encylopedia Mythica - an invaluable collection of bits and pieces on religion, mythology and the occult.

The Big List of RPG Plots - Every single plot arc you can think of has been stripped down to its barest bones and presented in its most general case. An excellent resource if you've got a bunch of ideas but nothing to hang them off, or if you need something ultimately generic for a linear fantasy LARP adventure.

The Marsden Archive - eldritch photographs of strange settings, portraits and details, ideal for horror games.

The Internet Sacred Texts Archive - A collection of religious, mythological and occult writings, including the Bible, the Koran, the writings of Aleister Crowley, and translations of Norse and Finnish myths, plus lots more.

Twilit Grotto - This is a highly respected online archive of Western esoterica, including many of the works of the Renaissance magi, plus a broad spectrum of grimoires from the medieval period to the eighteenth century. If you want to know about genuine traditions of European magic, including angel magic and the conjuration of the intelligences of the descending hierarchy, then there's more material here than you could shake a stick at.

Obsidian Arcana - A wiki which describes both the world of Obsidian Arcana and also has links to the rules. This is a system which is played every other week in term time by LURPS.

Far Shores - A post-cataclysmic set in the world of Ereda. The wiki contains information about the world of Ereda, its people, its places and how life is in the last free city of Starkholm.

Roleplaying Websites

Board Game Geek - An online community for those who enjoy playing board games.

RPGnet - RPGnet is one of the largest roleplaying communities on the World Wide Web. Here you can find reviews of RPGs and related products, an online store, extensive forums (with over 25,000 registered members), play-by-post games and articles on the hobby.

Tuatha de Danon - An online LARP community.

Black Swan Horror - A horror LARP website describing their system and previous games as well as promoting future games which you can sign up to. They are a company that runs outside of LURPs as well as running occaisional one-day events in LURPs and are made up of former and current LURPers.

Room Thirteen - The Room Thirteen blog has entries on system changes and promotes future games (as well as describing previous games). They run experimental horror LARP which occaisionally features Lovecraftian Mythos (but not always). They run outside of LURPs but are happy for anyone to sign up.

Kult-rpg.com and The Abyss - A pair of Kult-related websites.

Unknown-Armies.com - Homepage for the game of power and consequences, featuring masses of new rules and fiction, including some written by authors and designers who worked on the game line.

Web Comics With A Roleplaying Theme

8-Bit Theater - Blocky graphics for that old-time 2-D Nintendo RPG feel.

Dork Tower - The oh-so-familiar lives of obsessive gamers.

The Order of the Stick - A party of Dungeons & Dragons adventurers metagame their way through life. Features Roy the smart fighter, Belkar the psychotic halfling thief, Elan the useless bard and other lovingly ridiculed stereotypes.
