Our Instructor

The Wing Chun society is very fortunate to be taught by Master Samuel Kwok. Born in Hong Kong in China, he has been training in Wing Chun for nearly 40 years. He began his training in the White Crane style of Kung Fu and when he moved to the U.K. was introduced to Wing Chun Kung Fu. His teacher at the time, the late Master Lee Hsing, saw his early potential and introduced him to Grandmaster Ip Chun who took over his training back in China. He trained for many years under Ip Chun and soon became a Master in his own right. He decided to open his first school in Hong Kong, his students soon began making a name for themselves in tournaments and demonstrations.

When Sifu Kwok returned to the U.K. he started to teach privately but later he he opened a school and started his own association.

When returning to Hong Kong, Master Kwok started to study under Grandmaster Ip Ching who is still currently his Sifu and who he has been representing since 1991.

Grandmasters Ip Chun and Ip Ching are the sons of of the late legendary Grandmaster Ip Man. One of Ip Man's more famous students being Lee Siu Lung, better known as Bruce Lee.
