The team working on UAV Sense and Avoid (couple of projects on which I was the Principle Investigator at Lancaster University of) won the prestigious The Engineer 2008 Technology + Innovation Award for Defence and Aerospace sector and The Special Award for 2008 presented at The Royal Socienty by the BBC presenter Rory Cellar Jones on 3 October 2008, also in:

Two of the MSc students I have supervised received Nokia Prize (Mr. Mohamad Asif Memon - 2006; Ramin Ramezani -2007).
Mr. Asif Memon also received the prestigious Lancaster Univeristy commemorative medal for an outstanding MSc research project, including a prestigious IEEE paperand offered a fully funded PhD studentship.
Mr. Ramezani also co-authored two IEEE papers and also was offered fully funded PhD studentship - well done!!!
The undergraduate students I have supervised Mahsa Honary, 2008 and Geogre Hadjimanolis, 2009 have received IET and Nokia prizes respectively - well done!!!
