The data-analyses reported in the book used the R packages spatstat, splancs, spatialkernel and stpp, all of which are available from CRAN via the R Project web-page. The R Task view on "Analysis of Spatial Data" gives an overview of these and many other relevant packages.

I have also written R functions for various purposes. I makes no claims to be an expert R programmer, but offer a selection of these for download in case others find them useful in case others find them useful.
