Blue Tits - Hormone Studies page

Page editor: Ian Hartley, Lancaster University, UK.

Introduction

These pages have been compiled as part of the European blue tit network established in September 2001 to facilitate evolutionary research using the blue tit as a model species. The network of evolutionary biologists studying the blue tit came together through the belief that collaboration is more healthy than competition and includes workers from France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and the UK. Further details on the network can be found on the home page (link) of the group. This section of the web site focuses on studies of hormones in the blue tit and is intended to give a brief overview of researchers' interests or outlines of methods which might be useful to others.

The site is intended primarily as a source of information for those workers who have contributed to it but is, of course, freely available to all those interested in pursuing similar interests in the blue tit or its congeners. Naturally, following the spirit in which this site has been created, we would welcome any contribution from visitors who may have something to add, even if it is simply the registration of their interests.
