I have been exploring the realm of virtual spaces as a location for visual arts content. The use of digital media has at its fundamental base building blocks of binary data. As a response to this and as a quest to understand the virtual landscape I will be using building blocks to create a virtual world. These building blocks will resemble the children's building block toy 'Lego'.

The VRML world will be constructed by responding to the intuitive constructions of children. I hope that the experience of spaces constructed from virtual Lego may potentially break down barriers that are assumed by those who are unfamiliar with new technology. I intend that the familiarity of experience gained in childhood by imaginative play can be extended to these new spaces.
