NATIONAL BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012 - THE BOLTON ARENA
Presenting the Championships in a prestigious manner requires
a
lot of volunteers overseeing stewarding positions etc. Every volunteer
will see quite a bit of the play. If you are interested in volunteering
then check out the Badminton England web-site or download an
application form here.
Please return the completed application form to Brian Greenwood
(Manager of Volunteers). In the year of the Olympics this event will be
the showcase of English badminton with players chasing ranking points.
Please come on board and help us to make this an event to remember.

BADMINTON CLUB PUB QUIZ NIGHT
Sunnyside Badminton Club are holding a pub quiz night on Wednesday
January 25th 2012 at 7.30pm in the White Cross pub to raise funds for
the club. The cost is £5 per person, a hot supper is included and there
will be a raffle. Please bring friends and family and join us for a

BENTHAM BADMINTON CLUB
Have a four court hall, in the Old School in Low Bentham, booked from
6.30 – 8.00 on Tuesdays and very few members.
If anyone wants to come and play socially they would be very welcome.
The cost is £2.50 per session.

be returned to the Cup secretary by the winning team. To

Free Child
Welfare Officer training – Time to Listen Workshops in the North West
Time to Listen, developed by the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit,
is advanced level safeguarding training. It is specific role training
for those acting as Child Welfare Officers within badminton and has
been designed to support them in their role. A Time to Listen workshop
will be taking place in Liverpool and Manchester. Click here for

MATCH
RESULTSHEETS: It is becoming a regular habit
that theresults sheets are not being filled in correctly. Information,
such asthe Club status (A, B etc) are not being included, dates, venue
and insome cases the formation of the Mixed pairings are excluded.Could
all Club Secretaries please ask their team captains to endurethat this
information is included.
As an example, if a Club has 2 teams in he same division an
incorrect result may be entered, this perhaps could have a serious
consequencelater in the season.
