Free Child Welfare Officer training – Time to Listen Workshops in
the North West Time
to Listen, developed by the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit, is advanced
level safeguarding training. It is specific role training for those acting as
Child Welfare Officers within badminton and has been designed to support them
in their role. A Time to Listen workshop will be taking place in Liverpool and
Manchester. Please see below for the details of these workshops. TTL/6 Saturday 26th November 2011, 9:30 to 13:30 @ Lifestyles

on a Time to Listen workshop are free of charge for Child Welfare Officers. For
those who wish to attend the workshop along with their Child Welfare Officer to
support them in their role, they may book onto a Time to Listen workshop at a
fee of £20. For
Child Welfare Officers of a Premier Club please note that if they have already
been on a Sports Coach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children Course (SPC) and
are soon due for their renewal, they can attend a Time to Listen workshop
instead of the SPC course again. This will be accepted for Clubmark. To
book onto a workshop please complete an application form which can be
downloaded from www.badmintonengland.co.uk/timetolisten . The
completed form needs to be returned either by email to education@badmintonengland.co.uk or by
post to The Education & Training Department, BADMINTON England, National
Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes, MK8 9LA (Please note that a copy of the
applicant’s Sports Coach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children course
certificate must be sent along with the application form). Places
available are limited, so please send in application forms early to secure a
