Paul Trowler is Professor of Higher Education at Lancaster University's Department of Educational Research.

Paul is Research Director of here@lancaster - The higher education research and evaluation centre.

He is also Research Director for the Department of Educational Research, as well as Postgraduate Research Tutor for the Department, responsible for admission and progress of 'traditional route' research students there.

Paul has Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees, FHEA, PGCE (distinction) and is an elected Fellow of the Society for Research into Higher Education.

Paul engages in research, evaluation and development work with universities and higherceducation funding and policy bodies across the world: South Africa, Sweden, Chile, Italy, Norway, Australia and Ireland.
