Welcome to www.ecofem.org The first incarnation of www.ecofem.org began in 1996. The domain name itself was introduced in 1999. As I've learnt more about html the breadth of www.ecofem.org has increased rapidly. www.ecofem.org is intended primarily as an educational resource for the philosophy and social movement that since the 1970s has come to be known as ecofeminism. I also liaise with publishers and ecofeminist writers to help publicise books and journal articles on ecofeminism. The ethos remains very much d i y but I wholeheartedly welcome collaboration. Sometimes grad students help me update the bibliography which is very welcomed indeed.

www.ecofem.org may be used in a number of ways. First, as a port of call to discovering more about ecofeminism, second, as a more in depth exploration through a reading of the journal section, and third, as a portal directing you to other online resources of relevance to ecofeminism. In addition pointers to further reading are supplied in the extensive bibliography and events and conferences are posted in the news section.
