Applied research

IDEFICS (Identification and prevention of dietary-and lifestyle-induced health effects in children and infants)

IDEFICS is an EU Integrated Project coordinated by BIPS (Bremen Institute for Prevention Research and Social Medicine), Bremen University. The project began in September 2006 and runs for five years. Our research focuses on the ethical and public policy implications of the project, while the main part of the project consists in a large-scale intervention study in schools and pre-schools to tackle childhood obesity.
