The Student Funding Service is part of Student Based Services and have responsibility, on behalf of the University to, "provide all current and prospective students with information on the full range of financial support available to them from any source." (HE Act 2004 33.5c)
Staff provide information, advice and guidance regarding Government, University and other funding to help ensure prospective and current students of the University understand the student funding system and awards available, so that they can maximise financial support. This includes providing and distributing information to other internal offices and officers of the University. For information on this process please see section 7 of the University's Office of Fair Access (OFFA) agreement. Staff are also involved in University wide open days for potential students and their parents or partners.
