How to Apply
This information is for students who want to apply to study a full time degree course at the Lancaster campus.
Lancaster is a leading university and we receive many applications. Although most courses do not have a deadline for application, we recommend that you apply as early as possible as some courses do fill up and close applications early.
It is not necessary to wait for your final certificates, transcripts or references before you apply and there are no application fees to apply for courses at Lancaster.

Undergraduate Courses eg BSc, BA
All students applying to UK universities for undergraduate courses must apply through UCAS (Undergraduate Colleges and Admissions Service).
If your native language is not English you will be asked for a recognised English language qualification.
All undergraduate degree courses at Lancaster start in October.
Postgraduate taught eg MSc, MA
You can apply directly to the University for admission to postgraduate taught courses using our online application portal.
If your native language is not English you will be asked for a recognised English language qualification.
Most postgraduate taught courses start in October.
Postgraduate Research e.g. PhD, MPhil
You can apply directly to the University for admission to postgraduate research courses using our online application portal.
If your native language is not English you will be asked for a recognised English language qualification.
The start date for most postgraduate research programmes can be flexible. However, your start date must be agreed by your supervisor.
