3+2 Transfer Programme Singapore Polytechnic

Singapore Polytechnic was the nation’s first educational institution of its kind.

It was set up in 1954 to train technologists and professionals to support the industrialisation and economic development of Singapore. Since then, its development has paralleled the progress of modern Singapore. Singapore Polytechnic is now a prestigious institution, with some of its alumni having become parliamentarians, captains of industry, senior executives of multi-national corporations, and successful entrepreneurs and professionals in Singapore and overseas.

3+2 Transfer Programme

Lancaster has a 3+2 transfer arrangement with Singapore Polytechnic in Music Technology and Information Technology.

Music Technology:
Students complete a three year Diploma in Music and Audio Technology at Singapore Polytechnic, and gain this initial qualification. On completion of this, if they wish, they can then enter directly into the second year of our three year BA in Music Technology to complete a full degree. After successful completion of two years at Lancaster students will be awarded their Bachelor degree from Lancaster University.
Information Technology:
Students complete a three year Diploma in one of the following subject areas: Digital Media; Information Technology; Multi-Media Technology; Business Information Technology; Infocomms Security Management or Information Communication Technology and gain this initial qualification. On completion of this, if they wish, they can then enter directly into the second year of our BSc in Information Technology for Creative Industries to complete a full degree. After successful completion of two years at Lancaster, students will be awarded their Bachelor degree from Lancaster University.

Admissions Criteria

In order to qualify for direct entry into the second year at Lancaster, students must obtain good grades in the modules taught in Singapore and apply directly via our Undergraduate Admissions Office.
