Course Overview
This course allows students to pursue a writing project in their chosen literary form supported by a range of specialist tutors, a peer critiquing process in twice weekly workshops, and termly online conferences via the University's virtual learning environment.
A number of professional writers visit the course, running workshops to produce new work or offering advice on work in progress. An intensive residential course is held over one week at Ty Newydd or an Arvon Foundation writing centre. This MA will develop your writing skills and promote reflection upon the writing process, equipping you to develop your experience and ideas into literary form.
We offer structured advice on the publishing industry, inviting leading agents and publishers to visit the course and advise students. Recent publishing successes include Justin Hill's novel The Drink and Dream Teahouse, Monique Roffey's novel Sun Dog, and Ali Shaw's novel The Girl with Glass Feet.
