Course Overview
This MA has been designed to provide you with a special opportunity to gain first-hand experience of EU operations and comprises taught modules followed by an extended placement in various institutions in Brussels. The taught modules provide you with an academic grounding in European law; Political Institutions - The European Union; or Europe and Globalisation.
In your placement you will observe the operations of EU institutions at close quarters while reflecting more widely on contemporary issues. This is a work placement, with full professional office duties, and you will report to an office based line manager as well as the MA course coordinator.
Providing excellent access to material needed to prepare a dissertation, the placement is also a fabulous springboard into further work in Europe, a career advising businesses on European connections, or in similar multi and transnational work environments.
