Course Overview

Taught by Business and Computing departments that are internationally recognised for the quality of their research, Lancaster's degree in Accounting, Finance and Computer Science will allow you to explore the connections and applications between these key fields. 

You'll study the core elements of Accounting and Finance, including investment management, financial strategy and the preparation of information for internal and external reporting. Our degree is accredited by CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and allows exemption from certain professional examinations.  You will also develop key skills from Computer Science, including programming, web technology and systems architecture.

Key modules in your first year include the Introduction to Accounting and Finance; Principles of Economics, and Human Computer Interaction. In your second and third years, you'll move on to subjects such as the Principles of Financial Accounting; Statistical Methods for Business; Software Design, and Financial Accounting.
