Course Overview
Offered jointly by Lancaster University's Management School (LUMS) and the Department of European Languages and Cultures, this four-year degree course offers you two options for combining Languages and Management Studies.
You can study a single European language alongside in-depth courses on Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Management and Organisations or Marketing. Alternatively, you can take two languages from French, German, Spanish and Italian - one of which you can start from beginner level - together with an overview of the theory and practice of Management.
On both variants, you will spend your third year abroad, either studying Management at a partner university or on a work placement.

We divide academic study into 2 sections - Part 1 (Year 1) and Part 2 (Year 2, 3 and sometimes 4). In Part 1 you will take three modules of study which, depending upon your programme, will be drawn from one, two or three different academic subjects, a higher degree of specialisation then develops in subsequent years.
