Update for 2012 UK students
Lancaster University has set tuition fees at £9,000 per year for UK full-time undergraduate students commencing study from 2012. It is important to remember that access to university will be free at the point of entry, and these fees do not have to be paid up-front, so it's very much a study first - pay later approach.
We are committed to providing the highest quality education to our students which is reflected in the latest National Student Survey where our students reported high levels of satisfaction with their experience at Lancaster. Lancaster is consistently rated in the top band of UK Universities across all major league tables.
The University offers information and advice on government grants and loans, along with generous university bursaries for eligible students. The funding package includes the following:
Government Loans for Living Costs
These are available to help with living costs; there are 2 applicable rates of student loan:

Government Non-repayable Grants
Up to £3,250 cash grants available to help with living costs, if household income is less than £25,000. Below is a breakdown of the level of financial support available to you, depending on household income:

University Financial Support for new UK students from 2012
In addition to government maintenance loans, grants and national scholarships, Lancaster University offers a range of financial support for full time UK Undergraduate students from lower-income backgrounds.
