In Windows NT or 95, click the 'Start' button. Choose'Settings' then select 'Control Panel'.
In Control Panel, double-click on the 'Internet' item.

• Click on the checkbox labelled 'Use Proxy Server'
• In the box labelled 'Proxy Server:' Type wwwcache.lancs.ac.uk:8080
• In the box labelled 'Bypass proxy on:' type *.lancs.ac.uk

Then press the OK button.
