On the Explorer Menu, select 'View', then 'Options...'

Then select the 'Connection' tab (along the top of the Internet Options window).

• Click in the checkbox labelled 'Connect through a proxy server'.
• On the line labelled 'HTTP', enter wwwcache.lancs.ac.uk in the first box and 8080 in the second box.
• Click in the checkbox labelled 'Use the same proxy server for all protocols',
• In the box labelled 'Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with:' type *.lancs.ac.uk

Then press the OK button.
