On the menu bar, select 'System Preferences...'

Double-click on the 'Network' preference item

Click on the 'Proxies' item on the selection bar
On the list labelled 'Select a proxy server to configure:', select the item on the menu labelled 'Automatic Proxy Configuration'.
Tick the box to the left of 'Automatic Proxy Configuration'.
In the box labelled 'Proxy Configuration File URL', type: http://wwwcache.lancs.ac.uk/
Press the Apply Now button.
