On the Menu bar, select 'File', then 'Preferences...'

Select 'Connections' from the list on the left, then click on the 'Proxy Servers...' button

• On the line labelled 'HTTP':
  • ensure that the checkbox is ticked,
  • enter wwwcache.lancs.ac.uk in the first box
  • enter 8080 in the second box.
• Repeat for the 'HTTPS' and 'FTP' lines.
• Clear the checkboxes for 'Gopher' and 'WAIS'.
• Tick the box labelled 'Do not use proxy on addresses in the box'
• In the last box, type *.lancs.ac.uk

Then press the OK button.
